HAZID, HAZOP and READINESS REVIEWS

Hazard Identification (HAZID) Study: An identification and assessment technique, for analysis of potential hazards and quantification of the risks associated with a planned project or work activity involving multiple tasks.

 

Hazard Operability (HAZOP) Study: A formal and systematic procedure for evaluating a process.  The study focuses on identification of potential operability problems that could degrade plant performance.  HAZOP’s utilize guide-words to stimulate thought about how deviations from normal operating conditions could introduce hazards or operability problems.

 

Readiness Review:  The process of ensuring that activities critical to the successful set-up of a project are checked and confirmed to be progressing as planned, and to verify the project is ready to move into next phases or final execution.  It also provides documented validation that assets are ready for operation in a safe, sustainable and environmentally friendly manner. Also known as ‘Operations Readiness’.
